Armory Show 2025: Javits Center, Booth 223 | September 4 - 7

Edwynn Houk Gallery is pleased to return to The Armory Show 2025.

This year’s booth debuts new photographs by Valérie Belin, Sebastiaan Bremer, Sissi Farassat, Abelardo Morell, Ron Norsworthy, Matthew Pillsbury, and Robert Polidori. Belin will present both new works from her celebrated Black Eyed Susan series and recent heliogravures; Norsworthy unveils his American Dream series on plywood exploring Black cultural ascendance, alongside his first editioned collaged prints; Bremer introduces new hand-painted flowers from historical catalogues; and Farassat reveals fragments of anonymous vintage photographs, a process Michel Poivert has described as “anti-collage,” in dialogue with her concurrent gallery exhibition. Morell expands his investigations into optics and the architecture of vision; Pillsbury captures Brooklyn’s cherry blossoms in long exposure; and Polidori debuts medium-scale studies of Pompeii frescoes, continuing his exploration of culture through architecture.

Alongside these premieres, we present rare dye-transfer prints by Joel Sternfeld and Joel Meyerowitz, as well as chromogenic prints by Stephen Shore—each a pioneer of color photography whose work captured the cultural and sociopolitical landscape of their time; an emblematic large-scale photograph from Gregory Crewdson’s acclaimed Beneath the Roses series; a selection of 8×10 and 20×24 inch prints from Sally Mann’s seminal Immediate Family alongside her large-scale Deep South landscapes; a monumental, unique Cibachrome photogram by Adam Fuss; and iconic Men in the Cities photographs by Robert Longo. Also on view are Diane Arbus’ Boy with a Straw Hat, printed and signed by the artist; Lillian Bassman’s reinterpretations of her trailblazing fashion images; and solarized portraits by Man Ray.
