Curated by Jean-Charles Vergne in collaboration with Gallerie d’Italia – Intesa Sanpaolo, Gregory Crewdson: Eveningside brings together three photographic series spanning a decade: Cathedral of the Pines (2012–2014), An Eclipse of Moths (2018–2019), and Eveningside. The exhibition examines Crewdson’s staged photographic narratives, which explore solitude, alienation, and the psychological dimensions of everyday American life. The most recent series shifts toward ordinary urban and commercial settings, using monochromatic imagery, carefully constructed lighting, and atmospheric effects to evoke the visual language of cinema and film noir.
