Laurie Simmons at MoMA

Laurie Simmons' photograph "Walking House," 1989 is on view in MoMA's ongoing exhibition Body Constructs (Floor 4), alongside works by Le Corbusier, Henry Dreyfuss, Yoko Ono, and others that examine how modernist architecture and design imagined, and often failed to account for, the full range of human bodies and experience. Walking House belongs to Simmons's long-running investigation into domesticity and the spaces women are assigned to inhabit, with characteristic economy and wit.
