Macula et Materia brings together several of Sally Mann’s best-known photographic series, spanning portraiture and landscape. The exhibition examines recurring themes of mortality, memory, history, and the relationship between people and place through works from series including At Twelve, Immediate Family, Deep South, Faces, and Proud Flesh. Organized by Kutxa Fundazioa and curated by Anne Morin in collaboration with diChroma photography, the exhibition surveys nearly four decades of Mann’s photographic practice.
