At the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Assistant Curator Virginia McBride will lead an intimate tour of Lillian Bassman: Bazaar & Beyond. The exhibition highlights Bassman’s groundbreaking approach to fashion photography through rare midcentury magazine works and experimental images that redefine the visual language of print. Exploring her innovative use of composition, abstraction, and tonal effects, the presentation reveals how Bassman reshaped fashion imagery into a distinctive artistic vision.
