Photographer Sally Mann will be featured in a public conversation on March 21, 2026, at The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, presented by the Virginia Festival of the Book. Titled Art Work: On the Creative Life, the event centers on her recent book and reflects on her decades-long practice in photography. Mann will discuss the realities of sustaining a creative life, drawing on themes that have shaped her work, including memory, place, family, mortality, and the discipline required to maintain an artistic practice over time.
