February 23 – May 5, 2019 | Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
Organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Laurie Simmons: Big Camera/Little Camera examines the relationship between reality and representation through photography. The exhibition features a selection of Simmons’s large-scale and miniature photographic works that explore themes of memory, nostalgia, and cultural ideals. Simmons, an artist in the MCA program, uses staged imagery to question perceptions of identity and domestic life.
