Photographer Sally Mann will be featured as a guest lecturer on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston as part of The Ruth and Carl J. Shapiro Celebrity Lectures series, held in the Harry and Mildred Remis Auditorium and available online. Her lecture, “Art Work,” will offer an intimate reflection on her lifetime of art making, drawing from her new book Art Work and decades of acclaimed photography. Mann will share personal insights into the central themes of her career, including memory, place, family, mortality, and landscape, highlighting how her bold, poetic vision and creative process have shaped both her art and the artist herself, navigating the doubts, revelations, discipline, and moments of grace that sustain a creative life.
