Man Ray at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Organized by The Met, Man Ray: When Objects Dream examines the artist’s pioneering innovation of the “rayograph” — images made without a camera by placing objects directly on light-sensitive paper — and situates this technique within his broader practice across photography, painting, sculpture and film. The exhibition features approximately 60 rayographs alongside around 100 works including paintings, drawings, assemblages and films, exploring how Man Ray transformed everyday objects into surreal and enigmatic visual experiences.
