On and Off Stage: Performance and Persona explores how artists depict performance both as subject and strategy, tracing a path from theatrical spectacle to the construction of identity through persona. Featuring painting, photography, prints, and drawings, the exhibition includes work by Sally Mann alongside artists such as Cindy Sherman and Cara Romero, who use the performative to question and complicate representations of self. Drawn from the Addison’s permanent collection, the exhibition is organized with support from the Winton Family Exhibition Fund.
