The Anonymous Project presents Being There in Musée Magazine

Exhibition review

Musée Magazine spotlights the exhibition "Being There," a collaboration between Lee Shulman and Omar Victor Diop, on view at Edwynn Houk Gallery through June 13.

The series engages with themes of race, joy, and representation, while also reflecting on how photography and technology shape cultural memory. Built on a collection of vintage Kodachrome slides taken by amateur American photographers in the 1960s and ’70s, the project inserts Diop into these scenes — not to overwrite them, but to expand the narrative and reimagine who is seen and who belongs.
