Versailles: États Transitoires

Published in conjunction with a 2008 exhibition at the Edwynn Houk Gallery, this catalogue contains 18 color illustrations of Robert Polidori's photographs of Versailles from the past 25 years. Using an 8 x 10 large format view camera, Polidori captures in exquisite detail the architectural flourishes of the Baroque royal residence as well as the tell-tale signs of the modernizing processes, which have adapted the 18th century palace into a museum of the 20th century.
