Sitting pride of place in Jason Wu’s midtown studio—on its very own chair, no less—is Robert Polidori’s Parcours Muséologique Revisité, a three-volume photographic record of the 25 years spent restoring Versailles. “It’s fascinating to see what went into it,” Wu says. “Not just the opulence but the contrast of the rawness of the building materials.” This, in short, is what the designer will show Friday: the raw versus the opulent, the austere versus the ornate.
